The great book of traditional Japanese origami - new edition

€15,90

In Japan, children learn from an early age to create figures with origami, a traditional art closely linked to the culture of the Rising Sun. Of the 35 models presented in this very rich collection, the most intriguing are those with symbolic meaning, such as the carp and the cicada, the frog and the crane, the lotus flower and the iris: subjects with eternal charm. Then there are "utility" models, for practical uses, such as the sachet for storing medicinal spices, the masu box and the geometrically shaped cards with elaborate closures. Folding these origami is a bit like embarking on a fantastic journey to a fascinating land.
