Shozo Koike was born in Okaya (Nagano) Japan. After studying at the Taiheiyo Academy in Tokyo and a work and artistic career in Japan, he moved to Italy to study restoration in Florence and has lived in Piedmont since 2010. He holds courses and workshops on traditional Japanese sumie ink painting in various cities in Italy and abroad. He has exhibited his works in solo and group exhibitions in several galleries, including the Hina Gallery in Nishinomiya, Hyogo ken (2002 and 2007), the Daimaru Art Salon in Osaka (2003) and the Akane Gallery in Ginza, Tokyo (2005 and 2009).
